ABOUT THOSE PDFs...

Hi all,
There is currently a technical issue preventing people from downloading the PDF files from the Backerkit link (The EPUBs are working fine). The issue is being worked on as we speak, and hopefully should be fixed by tomorrow. In the meantime, if you want those PDFs now, feel free to email me, and I will send you your download links individually. Seriously, we will stop at nothing until those PDFs open on your system! Because that's how we roll!

Dear backers,
It has been very difficult to carry on with any type of work in the face of the horror and insanity that has visited my hometown of Paris this weekend. It is with a broken heart that we see the names of the victims emerge. As the violence has struck the heart of the vibrant artistic scene in Paris, we know that the degrees of separation will be few. Already, names of friends of friends have appeared, either among the victims or present at the scene. One such name is Ariane Theiller who I didn't have the privilege to know personally, but who was a friend and colleague to many of my friends and colleagues, and by all accounts, a wonderful person.
In this context of nihilistic absurdity, I had to decide whether to carry on with the original plans to begin this campaign's fulfillment process today or to postpone it. Ultimately, I decided that the only thing I could do from here was to carry on with the work, just because it made my day a little less dark.
So today, the first batch of books have been packaged and will ship first thing tomorrow.
The digital downloads have also been distributed, and anyone who ordered them should have received an email with instructions. By popular demand, and because it turns out some people were struggling with the EPUBs, we also added good old PDF links. That way, everyone's covered. Should you encounter any difficulty with those, let me know.
We will continue with the books and prints this week, then the apparels soon after, and finally, the commissions, which will take a little more time.
So that is all. It may be a while until we feel like reading a story or looking at art again, but friday was an attack on life and on the arts, and guess what, we're not going anywhere.

You do not need to make a login and password to fill out your survey, just fill it out and you’re all good to go! DIGITAL REWARDS

Hi lovely backers,
If your reward includes digital items (that would be the layouts for vol 1 and/or 2, as well as the full digital versions of the books), this will be of interest:
After looking at all possible technical options, I've decided to make EPUB the default format in which to send the files. If you are not familiar, EPUB is the standard E-book format, and will open natively on any smart phone, tablet, Mac or modern PC. And there are tons of Window-based E-readers to download on the off-chance your PC doesn't have one yet. So why EPUB as opposed to PDF? The advantages are as follow:
- Size. The EPUB files are optimized, and they will only take as much space as a regular ebook, as opposed to having to download and store a bunch of 200MB monsters.
- Quality. While small, they are also optimized for quality, and will look as good, if not better on your device as a huge PDF file.
- Convenience. You will be able to download them with one click, as opposed to having to deal with a download link to a folder, and then getting a file that may require a few more steps to save and reopen in your e-reader (which is the app you would be using anyway if you are on a phone or tablet.)
So taking all that into a count, EPUB felt like the best solution for almost everyone, and I'm very excited about how great they look!
